Questions and answers

How do I know counselling is going to be right for me?
We offer an initial consultation whereby the you can meet the counsellor and decide whether counselling is the right form of treatment for you at this time. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any feelings or expectations.

How often do we need to meet and how many sessions will I have?
Once you and your counsellor have decided to work together you will meet normally on a regular weekly basis, but this is entirely dependent on the your needs which you can discuss with your counsellor. The number of sessions you will have again is dependent on your needs. We do though recommend  working towards six sessions initially in order to gain full benefit from counselling.

How long is a session?
Each session last 50 minutes.

What if I need to change or cancel a session?
The counsellor will try to be flexible if a client needs to change a session, if they have an alternative space available. The counsellor will need 24 hours notice of any cancellations or changes to session dates/times. A charge of £20.00 will be made if notification is within 24 hours.

How do I pay for my session?
We accept payment by cash or cheque. No debit or credit cards. Payment must be made promptly at the end of each session.

Is Parking Available?
Free parking is available outside Williams Clinic and surrounding residential area.
